People become overweight and they may develop heart decease, suffer a stroke, diabetes or even cancer. Almost every magazine and newspaper we read will have an article featuring the link between health and beauty, exercise, fitness, etc. Someone who takes regular exercise and eats plenty of fruit and vegetables and keeps to a low fat diet will not only feel so much better but usually look so much better.
People who are overweight from eating fatty foods such as crisps, chips, cakes, and chocolate often find it difficult to walk very far and may feel tired most of the time. They might spend an awful lot of time sitting down which makes them even fatter. Getting out in the fresh air and taking regular walks helps people to keep fit and feel more active. People who smoke can develop smokers cough and their skin might look yellow or pale. Their voice might become husky and they stand a good chance of developing lung cancer.

There are so many ways someone can improve their lifestyle to help them keep healthy and looking better. Any sort of sport is always good and a lot of people enjoy cycling, swimming, tennis, golf or jogging. Going for a thirty minute walk everyday is beneficial and doesn’t cost any money. Some people prefer to join a gym or go dancing which is an excellent form of exercise. Whatever form of exercise someone prefers doesn’t matter so long as they do it regularly and don’t spend too much time on the settee watching television eating packets of crisps and chocolates. It’s a very true saying that the life you lead shows on your face. The link between healthy living and looking good is not skin deep and no one should ignore this if they want to stay healthy. Even children are being encouraged to take more exercise as today’s children spend a lot of time watching television and playing computer games. Some don’t even have to walk to school and back as their parents ferry them around in cars. This sort of lifestyle could have a huge effect on their health.
